STATCOM is mainly used to provide dynamic reactive power and voltage support to the power grid. The device parallels the voltage source converter to the power grid through the reactor or transformer, automatically adjusts the amplitude of the AC measured output voltage of the converter, quickly absorbs or sends out the required reactive power, so as to realize the purpose of rapid dynamic voltage regulation and enhance the operation stability of the system.
